RIGA CITY SIGHTSEEING TOUR (3 HOURS)

This tour unites both Old Town's beauty and more distant Riga’s districts and places of attraction. You will be invited to view the most significant sights of Riga: central streets and boulevards of Riga, the Bastion Hill, The University of Latvia, Latvian Opera House, Passenger Terminal and Daugava River, Brethren cemetery and Art Nouveau architecture. After the driving tour, a walking part through the Old City will follow. RUNDALE TOUR (6 HOURS)

The Rundale Palace ( 80 km South of Riga )is one of the most outstanding monuments of Baroque and Rococo art in northern Europe. Rundale Palace was built between 1736 and 1740 as a summer residence of theDuke of Courland Ernst Johann Byron. The major part of the interior was made in theperiod between 1765 and 1768. The famous Italian architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli designed Rundale Palace and supervised construction work. The Italian masters from St. Petersburg, Francesco Martini and Carlo Zucchi created the paintings on the ceilings and walls while the sculptor Johann Michael Graff from Berlin and his team made stucco decorations on the background of artificial marble. Rundale Palace is a Baroque mansion filled with paintings, furniture, silk tapestry, painted ceilings and porcelain.
The Baroque garden at the back is an intricate labyrinth of alleys, clipped trees, pergolas and green hedges.
SIGULDA AND TURAIDA TOUR (6 HOURS)

Sigulda is located 53 km away to the East from Riga in the Gauja River valley. This small town is one of the most picturesque towns in Latvia and is often referred to as "the small Latvian Switzerland” because of the beautiful mountainous region. The past of the town is rich in historical events. There were castles built in the 13th century by the Teutonic Knight's Order and Riga's Bishop. Only Turaida Castle ruins has remained.
Nowadays, Sigulda is a centre of the Gauja National Park. Hilly riverbanks, sandstone caves, ruins of the medieval castles make it so very unique and make Sigulda a favourite resort for tourism and relaxation throughout the entire year. Sigulda is the most popular tourist and leisure destination as well as a famous place for winter sports competitions with a bob sleight route, which is one of the best in the world, and the downhill skiing routes. The places to visit:
Sigulda Church, New Sigulda Castle and Old Sigulda Castle. The new New Sigulda Castle was built for the Kropotkin family in the nineteenth century. Krimulda Castle and the Gauja River Turaida Museum Reserve Turaida in the language of Livs, ancient inhabitants, means “Garden of God”. Everybody who arrives in Turaida is convinced of the harmony of nature and creative work of the man and its inimitable impression. The territory of 42 ha of Museum Reserve is rich in the monuments of archeology, architecture, history and art which tell us about the events in the course of 1000 years starting with 11th century.
